Join us for the 7th Annual Sisters on the Run—a community-focused race that started in 2018 when Daughter of Charity, Sister Liz Sjoberg, took on the Chick-fil-A Half Marathon as “The Running Nun” to raise funds and awareness for Proyecto Juan Diego. Her commitment quickly drew widespread encouragement, creating excitement on social media and inspiring many to support her cause.
Over the years, Sisters on the Run has seen incredible growth in community support. Last year, with over 200 participants joining locally and virtually, we made it an official race, complete with a chip-timing system, finisher’s medal, and commemorative t-shirt. Even more exciting, we partnered with the Brownsville Fire Department, making the next events even more fun!
Mark your calendars and join us on Saturday, January 25th, 2025 for a day of purpose, fitness, and community spirit. Whether you’re an experienced runner or a first-timer, Sisters on the Run invites everyone to make a meaningful impact in support of Proyecto Juan Diego.
